Hello, everyone. My personal project is progressing well so far. I suspect this stage of it will be done around the next post. However, since this place talks about writing and my current main project is not related to writing, I have little news to share here.
The further I get in sorting my files, the easier it is to slot new notes in where they belong as they appear, instead of adding to the heap on top. The notes are about all kinds of things; world or character history, possible orders of events, or specifics about key points of action. Some notes detail specific points of action, except I know very little about the story they belong to.
How do you come up with an entire plot and cast of characters from most of a magic system, a few actions some as-of-yet unknown people perform, and maybe a couple of scenes?
Simply waiting for additional inspiration is far more miss than hit. I might check if these ideas can become good short stories. Or, I could force a plot around what little I have, scrap the 90% of it that doesn’t feel right, and repeat a few dozen times. That process would bring additional inspiration!
In random news, I tried black coffee again for the first time in quite a while. I found it to be more similar to tea than the straight coffee I remember. How odd.
