And it’s finally working. Hi, there. In June 2025, I had and shared the idea to create and publish a fanfiction to get over my trepidation of publishing books. Last month, I first uploaded something. I now have three chapters up in my fanfiction. So far it has received two comments and twenty-three kudos. Goodness!

This feels less new, less audacious; good. After this fanfiction is finished, the next milestone is to do the same with an original work. I anticipate I will go through my story drafts and pick one.

“I anticipate;” I’m not going to say exactly what my next step will be. I have done that enough and been wrong, both here and elsewhere, that I am learning better. Although, if I ask around the writing communities I know for advice about publishing now, I may have all my ducks in a row when the manuscript is ready. Having a few simultaneous things seems to work best for me.
