As it turns out, I have neglected my website maintenance these past few months. I logged in to post this and moderate comments, and found several notifications about updates. So, I dived in to making back-ups and navigating the various pages behind the public ones, and found out that I forgot a lot more than I realized. Has the layout changed since I last poked around, or have I simply never finished exploring?

This time, found a tool which tracks site health. It recommended several tasks and pointed me to three things I considered ‘non-essential’ which it called ‘critical issues.’ Thus, I spent time this morning updating the widgets and plug-ins which came with the website. (Most were easier than I expected.) Soon I will look in to the ones which require me to make an account with them.
